It’s Never Over captures a unique and intimate collaboration between British-Nigerian vocalist and songwriter Ola Onabulé and the Philadelphia-based Hazelrigg Brothers—George on piano and Geoff on bass. Recorded live at the acclaimed Sendesaal in Bremen, the album features seven of Ola Onabulé’s originals, specially arranged to strip each piece down to its core essence, allowing spontaneous musical dialogues to emerge naturally. Among the tracks is a distinctive reimagining of Prince’s “Condition of the Heart,” highlighting the trio’s ability to transform well-known material with nuanced insight and sensitivity.
