Lysbeth Riemersma

After the alto Lysbeth Riemersma completed her Performer’s Certificate at the Zwolle City Conservatory, she continued her opera training with the Youth Opera Forum. In the autumn of 1987 Lysbeth took part in Elisabeth Schwartzkopf’s masterclasses, where she was selected to perform in the closing concert in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. Since then Lysbeth is a much sought-after soloist in oratorio, opera and lieder and participates in diverse theater productions. As well as her performing activities, Lysbeth gives workshops in vocal training and is a permanent guest teacher at the Kalai Manram Theater in southern India, a job for which she had to develop a special methodology.
