Coming Soon: “It’s Never Over” — Ola Onabulé and the Hazelg Brothers

Aliud Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of *It’s Never Over*, a unique collaboration featuring British-Nigerian vocalist and composer Ola Onabulé alongside the Hazelg Brothers, George and Geoff, with Austrian drummer Thomas Käfel. This exceptional album is scheduled for a global release on November 14, 2025.

Recorded live at the iconic Sendesaal in Bremen, *It’s Never Over* distills Ola’s rich repertoire to its acoustic essence. The album captures the quartet’s remarkable spontaneity and deep musical dialogue, blending Ola’s stunning vocal range and incisive songwriting with the Hazelg Brothers’ chamber jazz sensibility and Thomas Käfel’s inventive drumming. The program includes seven reimagined originals by Ola, as well as a striking cover of Prince’s “Condition of the Heart.”

True to Aliud’s commitment to sonic excellence, It’s Never Over is recorded using a minimalist approach, with all performances captured in uninterrupted takes, reflecting an organic, vibrant interaction among the musicians. The album is engineered in state-of-the-art immersive audio formats—including native Dolby Atmos and Auro3D—and delivered in high-resolution formats such as DXD and DSD to offer listeners an immersive, detailed listening experience that rewards repeated plays.

The intimate acoustic setting of the historical Sendesaal, renowned for its warm, enveloping sound, serves as the perfect canvas for this deeply expressive project.

The album’s release will be preceded by two singles, “It’s Never Over” arriving on October 17, 2025, followed by “Alive Tonight” on October 31, 2025. Each single will come with official video content, enhancing the immersive experience.

It’s Never Over will be available across multiple formats: CD, high-resolution downloads (including DSD), immersive audio on Dolby Atmos and Auro3D, as well as on all major streaming platforms. A limited edition vinyl pressing is planned for Spring 2026, providing collectors and audiophiles with a tactile listening experience.

Stay tuned for upcoming tour dates and additional content that will bring the spirit of this remarkable recording into venues worldwide.
